98 Migrants Stranded Off Florida Rescued After 2 Days
98 immigrants, who were hungry and thirsty for 2 days, were rescued on a boat off the coast of Florida, USA.
A rescue operation was organized by the US Coast Guard for 98 immigrants on a boat off the coast of Florida, USA. Two days later, 98 migrants, 96 from Haiti, one from Uganda and one from the Bahamas, were rescued in the helicopter-assisted operation.
The immigrants were then handed over to the Bahamian authorities.
The US Coast Guard said in a statement that there were 53 men, 35 women and 10 children on board.
It has been learned that the immigrants have been living in the sea without food or water for about a week.
