In the statement made by the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC), it was stated that an earthquake with a magnitude of 6 occurred on Mindanao, the second largest island of the Philippines. The severe shaking, recorded at a depth of 2 kilometers from the ground, was also felt in the state of Davao de Oro.
EMSC urged the public to be vigilant for aftershocks following the 6-magnitude earthquake.
