A warship belonging to the Thai Navy sank in the Gulf of Thailand. The Navy said 75 sailors were rescued in the early morning hours and 31 were still in the water.

Rescue search continues for the 31 missing seafarers.

It was announced that helicopters as well as ships participated in the search and rescue efforts.

While northern and central Thailand experience the lowest temperatures of the year, southern Thailand has been home to storms and floods in recent days.
