'Corruption' Scandal Grows in EP: 'Immediate Action' was Initiated for Two Deputies

Within the scope of the corruption and money laundering investigation that started in the European Parliament (EP), two deputies were put under the spotlight.
Roberta Metsola, President of the European Parliament (EP) announced in a written statement that an "mmediate action" was initiated to lift the immunity of two more MPs in the investigation, upon the request of the Belgian judicial authorities.
“From the first moment, the European Parliament did everything it could to assist the investigations and will continue to strive to ensure that they do not go unpunished. We will do everything to fight corruption," said Metsola, adding that he wanted the whole process to be completed by February 13.
