Dense fog, which was effective in the north of the city of Airdrie in Canada's Alberta province, caused a chain accident on the highway.

Police, health and fire crews were dispatched to the area. According to the police statement, 1 person died and 9 people were injured in the accident in which 14 vehicles collided with each other.

The highway was closed to traffic after the fire. After the works, traffic flow in the area returned to normal.
