Flash Ukraine statement from NATO: In the long run...
While the war, which started with the instructions of Russian President Putin in February of last year, continued at full speed, a flash statement came from NATO.
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that Ukraine will become a member of the military alliance in the long run.
Stoltenberg made the following statements to reporters during his visit to the Finnish capital, Helsinki;
'NATO allies have agreed that Ukraine will be a member of our alliance, but this is also a long-term perspective.'
Stoltenberg stressed that the urgent issue is for Ukraine to remain an independent nation in the face of Russian occupation.
