Hong Kong Protester Tortured at Chinese Consulate in Manchester
One of the protesters was taken inside the consulate and beaten at the demonstration held in front of the Chinese Consulate in Manchester, England.
The Chinese Communist Party congress was protested yesterday in front of the Chinese Consulate in Manchester, England. One of the protesters was forcibly taken to the consulate by unknown persons. The protester, who was brought to the consulate by unidentified people, managed to escape with the help of the police and other demonstrators after he was beaten.
Speaking to the BBC China Service after the dramatic incident, a Hong Kong protester named Bob said that some people at the consulate tore his money.

After the incident, the consular spokesperson said in a statement; “They hung a humiliating picture of the President of China. This situation is intolerable and unacceptable for any country's diplomatic and consular missions."
The Manchester Police Department has launched an investigation into the incident. The British Foreign Office also asked China for clarification.
