Immigrant boat sank in Tunisia! Dozens of people drowned in the sea
25 people died as a result of the sinking of the boat carrying irregular migrants off the Tunisian coast.
The number of immigrants who want to cross from Tunisia to Italy is increasing day by day. It was reported that another migrant boat sank off the coast of Sfax city in the south of Tunisia.
Authorities reported that 76 people were rescued from the boat, which sank with 110 immigrants, and 25 people lost their lives. Search and rescue efforts continue in the region for the 9 missing persons.
According to the United Nations (UN) data, while the number of immigrants coming from Tunisia to Italy in the same period of 2022 was 1,300, it was reported that the number increased to 12 thousand in the same period of this year.
