Heavy rains brought landslides in the city of Manaus, the center of the Brazilian state of Amazonas.
It was stated that 11 houses remained under the ground in the Jorge Teixeira Neighborhood in the east of the city. In the statement made by the Amazonas state administration, it was announced that 3 people were taken alive in the region where the landslide occurred, and the lifeless bodies of 8 people, including 4 children, were reached.
It was stated that search and rescue efforts continue in the area.
