More than 1,500 People Died Due to Monsoon Rains in Pakistan
The number of people who lost their lives as a result of floods, landslides and lightning strikes caused by monsoon rains that have been effective since 14 June in Pakistan rose to 1,697.
According to the data of Pakistan National Disaster Management Agency (NDMA), 631 children, 340 women, 697 people died and 12,867 people were injured due to the rains that have been effective since 14 June.
More than 2 Million Homes Damaged
More than 2 million houses were damaged due to heavy rains, more than 1 million 163 thousand farm animals perished.
While 13 thousand 97 kilometers of roads and 440 bridges were destroyed due to the flood, 33.4 million people were affected by the disaster in the country.
