Parking disaster in Manhattan, USA! There are many dead and injured
It was learned that one person died and many others were injured as a result of the collapse of a parking lot in the Manhattan region of the USA.
In the first statement from the New York Fire Department, it was announced that the multi-storey car park at 57 Ann Street collapsed for an unknown reason.
While it was learned that many people were trapped inside after the collapse, the surrounding buildings were evacuated and many fire trucks were directed to the area.
EVERYONE THOUGHT EARTHQUAKE
Eyewitnesses who witnessed the collapse compared the event to an earthquake and said, "We heard a big noise, then they evacuated us all."
A 22-year-old person working in the next building, who did not want to be named, said that the building collapsed suddenly.
1 PERSON LOSE LIVES, 4 OF 5 INJURED PEOPLE ATTENDED THE HOSPITAL
Mayor Eric Adams, who came to the scene while the search and rescue efforts were in progress, announced that a person in the parking lot died during the collapse, and 4 of the 5 injured people were hospitalized.
SEARCH WAS MADE WITH A RESCUE ROBOT DOG
President Adams stated that drones and robotic dogs are used in search and rescue efforts.
"Using the necessary technology, we can clearly see what is going on inside the building. We are doing everything we can to see if there are any other victims inside."
Fire crews also said they believe everyone has been evacuated from the collapsed parking lot, but are still searching to make sure no one is stranded.
