In the statement made by the Greek Coast Guard, it was reported that the 62-year-old Indonesian person on the plane died, and another 32-year-old South African person was rescued.
It was stated that the 32-year-old man, who was unconscious at sea, died in the Venizeleio Hospital, where he was transferred, despite all the interventions. Local authorities announced that an investigation has been launched into the accident.
