Terrible Fire in South Korea: 60 Houses Burned!
A fire broke out in a neighborhood in Seoul, the capital of South Korea. The fire grew rapidly, causing 60 houses to burn.
A fire broke out for an unknown reason at around 06:27 local time in Guryong, which is known as one of the slum settlements of Seoul, the capital of South Korea. More than 900 personnel, including 290 firefighters, and 10 firefighting helicopters were dispatched to the region.
Firefighter Shin Yong-ho told reporters that the fire engulfed an area of about 2,700 square meters. After 5 minutes of work by the teams, the flames were completely extinguished. It was announced that at least 60 of the approximately 660 structures, most of which were built from plywood panels, became unusable and 500 people were evacuated to safe areas. According to preliminary information, there were no casualties.
It was learned that South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol, from Switzerland, where he was due to the World Economic Forum, instructed his staff to minimize the damage and take all necessary precautions. An investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the fire.
