After the heavy rains in the southeast of Brazil, the flood and landslide disaster that occurred in the state of Sao Paulo is getting worse.

In the statement made by the authorities, it was stated that the number of people who lost their lives in the flood and landslide disaster increased to 57. Sao Paulo state officials announced that search and rescue and road clearing efforts are continuing and are heavy. Nearly 4,000 people had to leave their homes due to adverse weather conditions.

A Brazilian Navy ship arrived in Sao Sebastiao yesterday and brought various relief items. The ship, which includes helicopters and various vehicles, will serve as a field hospital.
