Vegetable sales were restricted in London. People are revolting...
Many supermarket chains in London, the capital of England, imposed restrictions on vegetable sales due to shortage of supply.
ASDA, TESCO and Morrisons supermarket chains, which are among the three largest markets in London, the capital of England, have restricted their sales in recent days to avoid shortages in vegetable supply.
Within the scope of the restriction, which started to be implemented as of last Tuesday, it was decided to sell 3 vegetables per person in the aisles. While restrictions are imposed on vegetables such as cucumbers, lettuce and tomatoes due to the shortage of supply, the biggest reason for this problem is the absence of transportation vehicle drivers in the country.
Driver Trouble Continues
In the UK, energy company BP and Tesco Alliance announced that many gas stations in the country will be closed due to the lack of truck drivers. After the announcement, the growing fuel crisis caused long queues at gas stations, while fresh vegetables and fruits, water, dry food and meat aisles in the markets remained empty.
Among the measures taken by the British government, about 200 soldiers, 100 of whom were drivers, provided "temporary" support to ease the pressure at the stations, then increased heavy truck driver training and introduced incentives for obtaining licenses.
