Turkish athlete Aysu Türkoğlu swam across the English Channel, which connects the Atlantic Ocean and the North Sea, which separates Great Britain and France, in 16 hours and 28 minutes. Struggling with multi-directional currents and waves, the young swimmer started swimming from Dover and ended his performance on the coast of Cap Gris-Nez, France.
The 21-year-old swimmer made his mark in history as the youngest Turkish swimmer to swim across the English Channel.
