European Union (EU) Commissioner for Enlargement Oliver Varhelyi announced that he had expressed his opinion on granting candidate country status to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
During the presentation of the annual enlargement report, Varhelyi announced that a proposal was made to grant "candidate country" status to the "potential candidate" country, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In his statement, Varhelyi stated that the EU will continue to monitor Bosnia and Herzegovina on issues such as anti-corruption, freedom of expression and press, and legal reforms.
