Conservative Party leader Liz Truss, who became Prime Minister on September 6, resigned today.
Liz Truss, who was prime minister for only 44 days, thus became the shortest term prime minister in British history.
Turss, the shortest term prime minister in British history, said in a statement today; “I recognise given the situation I cannot deliver the mandate on which I was elected by the Conservative Party. I have therefore spoken to his majesty the King to notify him that I am resigning as leader of the Conservative Party,” she said outside No 10.
