The European Union Commission applied to the European Court of Justice last Friday on the grounds that Hungary violated the fundamental rights and freedoms of LGBTI+ individuals.
Hungary's 'Homophobic' Law
The European Union Commission (EU Commission) took action against the law that bans the promotion of homosexuals and transgender people, which entered into force last year in Hungary, and filed a lawsuit.

The EU Commission, in its statement on the subject, stated that by enacting this law, Hungary violated the fundamental rights, EU values and rules regarding the EU internal market, especially LGBTI+s, and stated that they filed a lawsuit with the European Court of Justice.
