The number of people who lost their lives in the flood disaster caused by the monsoon rains in Pakistan, which has been effective since June, continues to increase.
In the statement made by the Pakistan National Disaster Management Agency, it was stated that the death toll increased to 1,663 and a total of 12,865 people were injured.
In the statement, 614 of those who lost their lives were children and 333 of them were women, it was stated that the region most affected by heavy rains was Sindh province, where 747 people lost their lives.
According to local sources, around 3.6 million people in the country lost their jobs, and about 54 percent of families affected by the floods are staying in open spaces, tents or shelters.
