An alarm went off, indicating that one of the emergency exit doors had been opened on the United Airlines flight, which was on the Los Angeles-Boston flight in the USA. Authorities found that the locking lever of one of the emergency exit doors was moved from the fully locked position to the open position by about a quarter.
As the door was returned to the fully locked position, another flight attendant said she saw 33-year-old passenger F.S. Torres near the door and tried to open the door. Angrily rising from his seat, Torres tried to stab the two flight attendants in the aisle with the broken metal spoon in his neck. Torres, who was neutralized with the support of the passengers, was taken into custody by the security forces after the plane landed.
The passenger F.S.T stated that one of the flight attendants wanted to kill himself, so he wanted to injure one of the attendants in the neck and wanted to jump out of the plane.
