The death toll has increased as the floor of the Beleshwar Mahadev cave temple in Indore, India's Madhya Pradesh state, collapsed. Local officials told reporters that the death toll from the collapse had risen to 36.
It was reported that 16 people were injured, 1 person is still missing, and search and rescue efforts continue.
Local media reported that the temple was built after the well was closed about 40 years ago.
On the other hand, as a large number of people gathered at the temple as part of the Hindu festival called "Ram Navami" yesterday, it was learned that the floor of the temple could not bear its weight, and dozens of people fell into the underground well.
