Invitations for the coronation of King Charles III, which will be held on May 6 at Westminster Abbey in the capital, London, were presented to the public by Buckingham Palace yesterday. The invitation to be printed in 2,000 copies included the "Green Man figure, an ancient figure symbolizing spring and rebirth to reflect the new reign" from English folklore.
In the invitation decorated with flowers grown in the country's meadows, it was noted that Camilla, who was also the wife of King Charles III, had the title of "Queen Consort" and was written only with the title of "Queen". A photo of the oldest coronation invitation from the royal archives was also shared, adding, "The oldest coronation invitation in the Royal Archives is for the coronation of King George III and Queen Charlotte, which took place on 22 September 1761."
