According to the report of the European Union (EU) Copernicus Climate Change Service released yesterday, the world left behind the second warmest March since the records began to be kept. The warmest March on record was in 2016.
Last month temperatures were above average in southern and central Europe. Much of North Africa, southwestern Russia, Asia, northeastern North America, Argentina, Australia and the Antarctic coast were also much warmer than average in March. Exceptionally, western and central North America was colder than usual last month.
The report was created with analysis based on billions of measurements taken from satellites, ships, planes and Weather stations around the world.
