A study published in the medical journal BMJ revealed the human health benefits of high-fat fish. Previous research has revealed that fish with high fat content is good for cardiovascular health and immune system.
In the statement made by scientists from the University of New South Wales and the George Institute for Global Health, it was stated that oily cold sea fish has many benefits.
"The fatty acids in fish such as salmon, sardines, mackerel and herring are a healthy source," said researcher Dr Matti Marklund. Dr Marklund recommended that these fish be consumed at least two meals a week for omega 3.
The scientists also explained that those who consume this type of oily fish have a lower risk of kidney disease. Experts in the study, which included participants of different age groups and genders, stated that this type of oily fish reduced kidney disorders.
