The "monetary support for tourists visiting the country" project, which was approved by the Far East country Taiwan as part of its effort to attract 6 million visitors to the country at the beginning of 2023, is being implemented.
In a statement made by the Taiwan Tourism Bureau, it was announced that from April 15, each tourist who will visit the country will be given 5 thousand Taiwan dollars ($ 163.5).
Lin Hsin-jen, Deputy Director General of the Tourism Bureau, said that independent arrivals from the Tourist group will receive 5,000, tour groups of at least 8 people will receive 10,000 ($327), and groups with more than 15 members will receive a maximum of 20 thousand Taiwan dollars ($654).
Lin added that the money will be given by card, not cash. According to estimates, 90,000 groups are thought to be able to benefit from financial support.
