An interesting experiment on parrots from scientists: Parrots can also video chat
Scientists from Scotland's University of Glasgow have taught parrots to make video calls. The results of the research, which lasted 2 months, surprised everyone.
Parrots trained in two months managed to consciously make 147 calls during this time. Researchers, who said that animals making video calls started to exhibit more social behavior, stated that they got rid of loneliness in this way.
Researchers hope the technology will enable 'intelligent' animals to communicate with each other. Contributing to the research from Northeastern University in the USA, Dr. "The parrots treated other birds on screen as if they were in real life," said Jennifer Cunha.
Parrots are known to be very social creatures.
